– An easier way to implement or upgrade SAP
The quote from Henry Ford about his early model T cars could be applied to the way many enterprises implement their SAP solution. The business may ask for a process to be setup in a particular way to suit their environment, or more importantly to reflect a way they do business better than their competitors, only to be told that this can’t be achieved in SAP. The requirement is configured to the software and not the way the business wants its process to run. Sometimes this is taken to further lengths where a template configured in Europe or the US has to be applied without amendment to Australia.
